Neurotransmitter Evaluation

In cooperation with receptors in the brain, neurotransmitters regulate processes such as mental performance, emotions, pain response and energy levels.  Neurotransmitters are the brain’s chemical messengers. They facilitate communication among the body’s glands, organs, and muscles. The brain uses neurotransmitters to tell your heart to beat, your lungs to breathe, and your stomach to digest.  It is estimated that 86% of Americans have suboptimal neurotransmitter levels, symptoms may include depression, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, ADD, ADHD, brain fog, addiction, hormone imbalances, loss of appetite control and insulin resistance. This test evaluates the balance/imbalance of serotonin, gaba, dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and glutamate.
